We set the tone for the internal and external communications across the force.
Within the Digital Communications Development Team we’re responsible for the digital communication platforms for the whole force, this covers the website, intranet, and social media.
We set the direction and structure for the advice and guidance on content across the website and intranet as well as producing and maintaining it.
As our Digital Communications Development Officer, you’ll ensure that all members of the force are trained and equipped to engage digitally where necessary and that all officers and staff have the methods they need to engage and interact with the force.
Bringing your experience of digital communications you’ll work with the wider Communications and Engagement teams to support reactive communications, and longer-term proactive campaigns. You’ll take responsibility for the development and upkeep of the forces evergreen content on the intranet, ensuring it’s fit for purpose and meets the needs of the whole organisation.
What you’ll be doing
You’ll be producing digital content-based material, particularly graphical elements which can be used across the Communications department.
You will develop digital solutions, such as digital asset management systems, other database driven content systems and software tools.
Use innovation to utilise and existing and identify new digital communications channels to meet current and future communication and engagement needs.
The must haves
Experience of planning and managing digital development projects, using a variety of tools and methods.
Able to use content creation and enhancement packages such as Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Photoshop.
Experience of developing written, audio, and visual products within a communications function

Salary Grade £29,085 - £35,982
For part time hours the salary will be calculated on a pro-rata basis, this is based on the number of hours for the vacancy.
