Bring your digital communications skills to a new level and set the direction for our force!
Effective external and internal communications are critical to effective policing. As our Digital Communications Development Senior, you will set the direction and develop the force’s approach to evolving and optimising the internal digital communication channels. You will enhance the confidence of the workforce of Derbyshire Constabulary and support the force to meet its strategic priorities.
Within the Digital Communications Development Team, we’re responsible for the digital communication platforms for the whole force, this covers the website, intranet, and social media and structure the advice and guidance on content across the website and intranet as well as producing and maintaining it.
What you’ll be doing
You’ll be developing and promoting internal digital approaches via dynamic, innovative, and creative solutions
Developing the intranet’s content management system, its information architecture, and its underlying configuration, working towards an identified plan in line with national developments.
You’ll provide expert advice to the organisation and department, advising on digital opportunities offered by internal communication platforms, enabling the workforce to become more engaged and capable of accessing and sharing information digitally.
The must haves
Experience of managing and developing enterprise-level internet and intranet sites including content management system configuration, site design, content structure and security implications.
Experience of identifying, procuring and project managing the delivery of new digital development projects, using a variety of project management methods and tools.
Understanding front end development techniques, creation of written, audio and visual products within a communications function.

Salary £33,915 - £40,950
For part time hours the salary will be calculated on a pro-rata basis, this is based on the number of hours for the vacancy.
